2007 Low-Key Hillclimbs Week 1: Montebello 29 Sep 2007 |

For 2007, we once again make the traditional series start with Montebello Road. From just beyond shores of Steven's Canyon Reservoir, Montebello Road climbs steeply for two miles before a one-mile "recovery". But resist the temptation to indulge: you'll want to keep the pressure on until the road once again asserts its own motivation with the final two steep miles.
Our insurance demands it: helmets are required. Sorry kids, no exceptions!
Go to the parking lot on Steven's Canyon Road, at the reservoir, just north of Montebello road. Parking is available there. We will stage there at 10:10am for a rolling start to the base of the climb, when the fun begins! Registration opens at 9:15am, closing at 10am.
